Key Responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Managing Security Operations: Oversee security measures to protect the company’s property, staff, and visitors, ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times.
- Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and monitor surveillance systems to detect and respond to suspicious activities.
- Incident Management: Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, lawfully protecting lives and property.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of security activities, including incidents, patrol logs, and any safety violations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with UAE’s security regulations and the standards set by SIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Agency).
Skills and Qualifications
To excel in the Security Guard role, candidates should possess:
- Educational Background: A higher secondary education or equivalent certification is required. Additionally, a valid SIRA Security Guard Certificate is essential.
- Experience: At least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably within facilities management or a security services environment.
- Physical and Mental Fitness: Candidates must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, have a medium build, and be physically and mentally fit to handle the role’s demands.
- Certification: Current First Aid and Firefighting certification from a recognized institute within the UAE.
- Language Skills: A strong command of the English language (both verbal and written) is required. Knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
- Key Skills:
- Proficient in public safety and security procedures.
- Ability to perform first aid and emergency response actions, including CPR.
- Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to act calmly and efficiently in emergencies.
- Teamwork and the ability to work autonomously when necessary.
